London Calling

Okay so instead of profusely apologizing for lack up updates i'll get right to it. So Im headed on tour from Feb 5th(Los Angeles) to Feb 17th(Riverside). Im very excited because the band we are headed out with happens to be one of my favorite bands right now. Defeater is a band from Boston. Instead of trying to describe them to you myself, ill steal someone elses words.

"Defeater are relative newcomers to the hierarchy of hardcore, and instead of country drones and twangs Travels is packed with walls of fast drums, crunchy guitar and impassioned bellowing. That lush packaging says more about Defeater than just the titles of their tunes, though: it’s printed on 100% recycled materials (all but the CD itself, one assumes). Defeater are also involved with GreenVans, a company that rents vegetable-oil fueled vehicles to touring bands like themselves. This is a band that believes in things."

I cant express how excited I am to watch this band perform every night.

Here is the flier for the tour.

For this tour, we were lucky enough to get to plan a north bay show. I was lucky enough to be entrusted with the responsibility of putting this show together. Celeste Turconi of the North Bay Film and Art Collective was kind enough to help me secure a venue for this as well as be VERY supportive in getting me the date I needed. So thank you very much to her and Dave (also NBFAC) for making this show possible. Ive had plenty of help with promotion for this show from plenty of people who know who they are so thank you again. I couldnt be happier with the lineup. Every band on the bill has been wonderful in helping.

Also!! My good friend Ryan who was gracious enough to accept duties of working the door has moved his zine release to the show too. So if you havent heard...Pick up a copy of Ice Cold Issue #5 at the show!!!

Here is the flier for the show. Please come, enjoy yourselves and have a drink with me to celebrate valentines the only way I know how.
